2011 Trump: “In Order To Get Elected, Barack Obama Will Start A War With Iran”
Trump said Obama will someday attack Iran in order to show how tough is he.

President Trump has threatened Iran with an explosive all-caps Twitter, declaring “you will suffer consequences the likes of which few have ever suffered before.”

Trump tweeted late on Sunday, following a warning issued by Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, in which he cautioned the enemies “must understand that war with Iran is the mother of all wars”

“We’re not fighting or at war with any country, but the enemies have to clearly understand that war with Iran will be the mother of all wars and likewise peace with Iran is the mother of all peace,” Rouhani said, leaving open the possibility of peace between the two countries.

“NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!” Trump wrote.

The tweet was sent after he returned to the White House from spending the weekend at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Trump’s threats and hostility towards Iran are apparently in contrast to his tweets during Obama’s presidency when he said: “In order to get elected, BarackObama will start a war with Iran”.

Or in 17th September 2013, when he predicted that “President Obama will at some point attack Iran in order to save face!”

And later in 25th September 2013, when he said: “Remember what I previously said,” Trump tweeted, “Obama will someday attack Iran in order to show how tough is he.”

The United States will reimpose sanctions on Iran next Saturday after Trump withdrew from Obama’s nuclear deal with the country. The US president also warned that he will impose sanctions on all countries that don’t cut imports of Iranian oil by Nov. 4.

“Today’s announcement weakens our security, breaks America’s word, isolates us from our European allies, puts Israel at greater risk, empowers Iran’s hardliners, and reduces our global leverage to address Tehran’s misbehavior, while damaging the ability of future administrations to make international agreements,” said John Kerry, Former US Secretary of State, adding: “This decision risks throwing them away and dragging the world back to the brink we faced a few years ago.
