ABC / Washington Post Poll: Donald Trump’s Approval Rating Drops To An All-Time Low

In a new survey conducted by ABC / Washington Post, Donald Trump’s approval rating sinks to only 36 percent. Just one point behind the current rating for Richard Nixon.

The poll aslo showed that even though special counsel Robert Mueller is still likely months away from dropping a report, 49 percent of Americans are ready to get on with the business of impeaching Trump.

According to the new national survey, more than 60% of Americans disapproving of his performance as the US president.

The poll includes 53% who say they disapprove strongly of his performance in the White House.

According to The Guardian, the startling new measures will make even stronger the contrast on Friday between the low public opinion of Trump and his glaring absence from services scheduled to commemorate the late Senator John McCain.

The results of the new opinion poll come 10 days after Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was found guilty of fraud by a jury in a federal trial in Alexandria, Virginia.

The poll found that 49% said impeachment proceedings that could lead to Trump being removed from office should happen, while 46% say Congress should not go through with such a move.

Despite overall unpopularity, there is one area where Trump performed relatively well: the economy. Roughly 45% of those polled approve of his handling of the economy, while 47% disapprove.
