Previously, it was unclear whether or not Obama and his family would get invited to the wedding since the government officials worried such a move would outrage president Donald Trump, who Markle has publicly criticised in the past.
The source told Daily Star Online: “the invitations are going out now, but Mr and Mrs Obama still have to respond.” added: “I am very, very sure they will attend though.”
“Harry and Meghan want to do things their own way.” the source said: “they are inviting their own friends, and not on the advice of aides.”
Prince Harry and the Obamas have a warm relationship. In April 2016, the Obama’s traveled to London to meet Prince Harry at Kensington Palace. Last year, Obama let Harry interview him on BBC radio 4’s “today.”
Last month, Trump indicated that he is not terribly upset about being left off the invite list. Indeed, he said he hopes the royal couple lives a happy life together.
“I want them to be happy. I really want them to be happy. They look like a lovely couple,” trump told Piers Morgan in an interview for ITV.

In a 2016 interview, long before Markle announced her engagement to Prince Harry, she publicly branded Trump a divisive misogynist.
Kensington Palace said the couple are “hugely grateful for the many good wishes they have received since announcing their engagement,”
“they are very much looking forward to the day and to being able to share their celebrations with the public.” the palace added.
The Queen and the rest of the royal family will be there, along with Markle’s parents Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland.
