We Are A Government In Waiting; Jeremy Corbyn Says New Britain Is Closer Than Ever
The hope of a new Britain, run in the interests of the many, not the few, is closer than ever before.

Jeremy Corbyn suggests that Labour party is “staking out the new centre ground” in the UK politics and he is leading a “government in waiting” in a triumphant New Year message for 2018.

Labour Leader said the prospect of a “new Britain” is “closer than ever before” and he defied the polls and the pundits to gain 30 seats in June’s general election.

Mr Corbyn promised to use 2018 to help people “fulfil their hopes” in a future where “we all share the wealth we create”.

While using his message to attack a “failed system” of governance and “stagnant economy” of wealth disparity run by a “self-serving elite”, Mr Corbyn also described the Government as “weak and divided and stuck in an outdated rut with no new ideas”.

“Ours is a fantastic country full of wonderful, caring and talented people with the hope of a great future ahead of us, where we all share in the wealth we create,” he said.

“the UK was being held back by a self-serving elite who look after themselves and their friends”, the labour added: “June’s election showed the establishment’s secret is out, they’re not as strong as they appear and have ‘no idea how to fix their broken system or upgrade our stagnant economy”.

Mr Corbyn believed the old political consensus is finished and the labour is staking out the new centre ground in British politics, “backing the things which most people want but are blocked by vested interests.” He added:

“Together we can, and we will, deliver it.”
