We Are In Your Home; ISIS Terrorist’s Selfie On New York Street Goes Viral
The horror selfie of a man wearing an ISIS face scarf is being spread across the Internet this week by terrorist groups who want to prove their fighters can reach major US cities.

The selfie of the terrorist standing on the sidewalk outside the Upper East Side of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York comes after the terror group’s media channels ramped up their threats to the Big Apple over the festive period.

The photo has circulated online after it was uploaded to a pro-ISIS channel on the mobile messaging app Telegram on Dec. 30, with the caption: “We are in your home.”

Recently, ISIS issued a video featuring shots of New York while calling for more bomb and knife attacks across the festive period. It shows an ISIS soldier holding a knife with the words “It’s cheaper than a chainsaw”.

It also comes after another image showing New York’s West Street with an ISIS flag displayed on a phone screen was posted online.

“The NYPD is aware of the photograph. As with all terror related threats, the NYPD is looking into the incident. At this time there are no credible threats related to New York City,” an NYPD spokesman said.

Eric Feinberg, the co-founder of GIPEC, a cyber-intelligence firm that keeps track of terrorism-related hashtags said the photos and others like them, are meant to sow fear and to embolden possible lone wolf terrorists into taking action.

“Maybe it’s Photoshopped, maybe it’s not. It should be taken seriously,” he added.

A pro-ISIS online propaganda poster last month showed a captive NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill kneeling before a masked terrorist.

Last month, a Staten Island taxi cab driver, Akayed Ullah, 27, failed to properly detonate a suicide pipe bomb at 42nd Street Subway station after being inspired by ISIS.

Another attack near Times Square came less than two months after eight people died near the World Trade Center in a truck attack authorities said was carried out by an Uzbek immigrant who admired the ISIS group.

The terrorist, Sayfullo Saipov proudly told investigators how he had rented a truck and used it to fatally run down cyclists and pedestrians on a New York City bike path, all in the name of the ISIS.
