Iran’s revolution system was a blow to the oppression and exploitation
Describing Iranian revolution as a blow to the oppression and exploitation, the professor of the American state of Texas said that the Iranian Revolution provided a golden opportunity for the people suffering from oppression in Africa.

Gerald Horne, professor  in the department of History at University of Houston expressed these views while speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency.

Speaking on the eve of 39th anniversary of the Islamic revolution, he said that the Islamic revolution that overthrew Shah’s system of cruelty, oppression and exploitation in Iran, was a golden opportunity for oppressed people in Africa who were resisting oppression.

He said that today the world nations appreciate the revolution against former Iranian emperor Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. Shah supported the ethnic discrimination in South Africa and supported to end the movement against the colonial system.

The American professor further added that the former emperor of Iran supported the Kingdom and the Ottoman system in the Middle East and African region.

He said that the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran provided positive space for the African nations and became a hindrance in the American and Zionist goals who seek to end their movements.

Professor Gerald Horne, who is also an author of more than 30 books, said that the policy of bringing back Pahalvi Kingdom’s initiative to the world is not surprising, because its main purpose, is to support the oppression and dictatorial system in the world through the United States.

He further said that for US, instead of anti-oppression system in Iran, the kingdom system of Saudi Arabia is better because it is talking about American interests.

US professor referring to the nexus between the tyrannical rulers of Africa and Iran’s Shah said that the Islamic Revolution in Iran played an important role in eliminating the system of oppression and exploitation.

Describing the Islamic Republic of Iran as the main country of the region, he added that overthrowing Shah, Iranian people did a great favor to the world because Iran’s Shah was not only an antagonist of the freedom movements but was also against the nations who were fighting for self-determination at global level.
