Israeli Source: US Announcement On Jerusalem Was Coordinated With Saudi Arabia
“Arab parties’ reactions and condemnations are not genuine and are misleading.”

After US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on Wednesday, the Israel’s News 10 said Saudi Arabia and Egypt gave Donald Trump the green light to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied city.

Jerusalem is a place of pilgrimage and worship for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. The Israelis channel said the Saudi Arabia’s reactions to Trump’s decision and condemnations are all pretensions. After Trump’s announcement, Saudi Arabia called it “unjustified and irresponsible”.

Zvi Yehezkeli, an Israeli journalist and head of the Arab desk at the news channel said US announcement on Jerusalem could not have been made without coordination between Trump and his regional allies.

Yehezkeli said: “I am not sure about the Arab countries’ reactions to this resolution,”, adding that “the responses issued so far were not serious.”

While Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admired the announcement as “historic”, the tensions have raised in the region amid a day of protests and strikes by Palestinians. The state’s Authority’s Ministry of Health said more than 300 people injured across the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem.
