“May You Burn In Hell For Eternity.”; Tory MP Receives Death Threats After Brexit Rebellion
Anna Mary Soubry, one of the 11 Tory MPs who voted to give Parliament a legal guarantee of a vote on the final Brexit deal struck with Brussels, has received several messages calling her to hang herself as a traitor.

“Go hang yourself slag.”, the message was received by Mrs Soubry’s parliamentary staff on Facebook., Stephen Hammond, another Conservative rebel who voted against the government, was sacked as a vice chairman in the aftermath of the vote.

After Tories’ rebellion, The Daily Mail asked: “Proud of yourselves?” and hit the rebels as “self-consumed malcontents” who had betrayed their leader, the party and 17.4 million Brexit voters.

Mrs Soubry replied: “Yes. We put our country first exerting British principles of democracy and free speech. You should try it sometime.”

A Twitter posted by Mrs Soubry to defend herself against the attacks provoked a reply: “You and these traitors should be hung in public.”

One Twitter user posted a link and claimed Mrs Soubry and other Tory rebels celebrated their success with champagne, while the MPs has strongly denied.

Another tweet compared Mrs Soubry to William Joyce who was hanged after the world war II for his wartime radio broadcasts from Nazi Germany. It wrote: “Traitor Anna Soubry deserves to stand trial for the same crime.”

Several tweets also called for the Monarch to seek treason charges against the Tory so she could be hanged. Another Tweet said: “Back in the day you would have walked through traitors gate and been beheaded in the tower of London, you are the true definition of a traitor.”

“You deserve to be HUNG for your attack on our democracy yesterday. WE VOTED OUT! OUT! OUT!” One email, from a man in Tonbridge, Kent read. The email involved the full address and telephone number said: “MAY YOU BURN IN HELL FOR ETERNITY.”
