Porn Star Sues Donald Trump: Hush Agreement Required His Signature Too
Porn star Stormy Daniels sued the US President Trump Tuesday, alleging that he never signed the nondisclosure agreement that his lawyer had arranged with her.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has filed a lawsuit against Trump alleging that a nondisclosure contract regarding an alleged sexual encounter between the two which she signed, is invalid.

The legal complaint was filed in California state court and a copy tweeted on Tuesday by Daniels’ lawyer, Michael J. Avenatti.

Daniels asked the court to declare that her nondisclosure agreement is void because Trump did not sign it and his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, signed the document on behalf of Trump instead.

Cohen and Daniels’s attorney at the time, Keith Davidson, negotiated what the lawsuit calls a “hush agreement” in which she would be paid $130,000.

In her 2011 interview with InTouch magazine, Daniels said she began a sexual relationship with Trump in 2006, shortly after his wife Melania had given birth to his son Barron. The relationship allegedly included meetings in Lake Tahoe and at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The lawsuit claims Trump “purposely did not sign the agreement so he could later, if need be, publicly disavow any knowledge of the Hush Agreement and Ms Clifford.”

It adds: “Importantly, the Hush Agreement imposed various conditions and obligations not only on Ms Clifford, but also on Mr Trump. The agreement also required the signature of all parties to the agreement, including that of Mr Trump.”

“Moreover, as is customary, it was widely understood at all times that unless all of the parties signed the documents as required, the Hush Agreement, together with all of its terms and conditions, was null and void.”

On the other hand, Cohen reportedly complained that he was not reimbursed for making a $130,000 payment to a porn star to cover up an alleged sexual relationship she had with Trump, 12 days before the 2016 presidential election.
