“You Have A President Who Is A Pathological Liar”; Bernie Sanders Slams Donald trump
It is an international embarrassment, we have a president who has driven the respect that this great country has all over the world down lower than it has ever been, Bernie Sanders said.

Senator Bernie Sanders that President Trump is a “pathological liar” who is making it impossible for Congress to find an agreement on spending, immigration, and other issues.

During an interview with MSNBC on Friday, the senator continued his harsh criticism of Trump. When Sanders was asked to sum up Trump’s first year in office, he joked: “Has it really only been one year? I thought it was about 16 years.”

“You have a president, this is not just me saying it, who is a pathological liar,” Sanders added.

The senator said that the US president was an “embarrassment” to the country and that he lied on the campaign trail about what he would do while in office.

Sanders said Mr Trump “ran on a populist campaign, ‘health care for everybody,’ he’s going to stand up to Wall Street, he’s going to stand up to the drug companies — he lied,”.

Earlier in January 2017, president Trump said that he was going to stand up to drug companies during his first news conference as president-elect. During the event at Trump Tower in New York City, He told reporters that he would not let the pharmaceutical industry “get away with murder” and said that he would change the way the US bids on drugs to cut spending and lower prices.

“Pharma has a lot of lobbies, a lot of lobbyists and a lot of power. And there’s very little bidding on drugs,” Trump said: “We’re the largest buyer of drugs in the world, and yet we don’t bid properly.”

Sanders continued: “I think it is an international embarrassment, we have a president who has driven the respect that this great country has all over the world down lower than it has ever been,” he said.

The former presidential candidate also said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said on Thursday that it’s not always easy to know where Trump stands on various issues.

“Unfortunately, I think he is a liar, I think he has, you know, what can I say?” Sanders said.

A new survey from Gallup released on Thursday revealed that the global approval of US leadership plunged to its lowest point in nearly two decades in 2017. The US leadership approval was at only 30 per cent, down 18 points from 2016.
