Samuel L. Jackson Calls Donald Trump A “Motherf****” Over Proposal To Arm Teachers With Guns

Samuel L. Jackson took to Twitter to slam President Donald Trump’s suggestion that all school teachers should carry weapons in the wake of the Florida school shooting that ended with the death of 17 students and teachers.

The Hollywood actor tweeted: “Can someone that’s been in a Gunfight tell that Muthaf**** that’s Never been in a Gunfight, the flaws of his Arm The Teachers plan??!!”

The 69-year-old star’s post has now gone viral, gathering over 220,000 likes on Twitter.

Last week, during a “listening session” with students and parents who have been personally affected by tragic mass shootings, Trump has backed the NRA’s controversial call for teachers to be armed, saying that if “10-20% of teachers” in schools had guns, it would prevent future shooters.

“The teachers and the coaches and other people in the building, the dean, the assistant principal, the principal, they love their people, they want to protect these kids,” Trump said at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday.

He also referred to the suspected gunman: “A teacher would have shot the hell out of him.”

Lily Eskelsen García, the president of the National Education Association, told Education Week there needs to be solutions to “keep guns out of the hands of those who want to use them to massacre innocent children and educators,” adding: “Arming teachers does nothing to prevent that,”
