Survation Poll: Labour Increased Eight-Point Lead Over Tories, The Largest Gap For Five Months
According to the latest poll, Jeremy Corbyn has extended Labour’s lead over the Theresa May’s Conservatives to eight points which is the largest gap in any poll finding during five months.

It was the only company that accurately forecast June’s General Election result. In its latest poll which interviewed 1,003 UK adults online between 30th November and 1st December, it puts Labour on 45 per cent, with the Tories trailing behind on 37 per cent and the Liberal Democrats under Vince Cable on six per cent.

The former Survation poll, on October 5, gave Labour a six-point lead. The polling company said an eight-point lead would likely put Labour into overall majority territory if such vote share totals were reflected at the ballot box.

Two weeks ago, the poll placed the Tories four points ahead of Labour. Mrs May’s chief of staff, Gavin Barwell said: “When you are still at your desk 17 hours after you arrived at work, this is the kind of news you want to see.”

The poll’s finding is greeted with dismay in Downing Street. In spite of PM’s multiplying political problems, high-profile Cabinet resignations, sexual harassment allegations, First Secretary Damian Green’s pornography accusation, and the deadlocked Brexit negotiations with Brussels, they have been reassured by polling showing the party on a level pegging with Labour so far.

“I feel sorry for her because she is totally out of her depth.”
