US Recognition Of Jerusalem Opens The Gates Of Hell; Hamas Warns
“Palestinian people know how to respond properly to the disregard of their feelings and sanctuaries”

Hamas, the militant political group which runs Gaza Strip, condemned president Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and said it is a “flagrant aggression” against the Palestinian people.

Gaza Strip is one of the main areas of the palestinian population and the armed Palestinian resistance group Hamas has previously launched rockets into Israel during several wars in the prolonged battle over the Gaza Strip.

Earlier on Dec. 2, Hamas said US decision to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem would represent “US assault on the city” and “give legitimacy to [Israel] over the city,”.

responding to the Trump’s announcement, a spokesman for Hamas called for a palestinian “day of rage” and urged Arabs and Muslims to undermine the US interests in the region and to shun Israel.

Ismail Haniyeh, group’s political leader said the Palestinian people know how to respond properly to the disregard of their feelings and sanctuaries. He added:

“the decision will not change the facts of history and geography.”

Hamas called on the youth and the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank to respond with all means available to the US decision that harms their Jerusalem.

Following Trump’s speech, thousands of Palestinians burned US flags and pictures of him while chanting anti-American slogans. The protestors in Istanbul, Amman, and Cairo have also condemned US decision which risks fueling violence in the Middle East.

Israel has called Jerusalem as its “eternal capital” after occupying East Jerusalem during the 1967 Arab-Israel war but the international community does not recognize the claim and all foreign embassies are located in Tel Aviv.
